It is hard to believe that Mason is now 3 years old. To celebrate yesterday we had a cake but the real party will come this weekend when we have lunch at Rainforest Cafe with all of Mason’s friends. He is very excited!

Mason is talking like crazy now in full sentences. He is still our very happy, super sweet boy. He loves his baby brother, and hates it when Reid cries. He tells Reid to “Be happy,” and then tries to make him laugh. Yesterday when Matt was home with the boys, Reid was crying while Matt was trying to get a bottle ready. Mason said to Reid, “Reid, be nice to Daddy. He loves you.” We are constantly amazed at the thing that comes out of his mouth-they show how loving and caring he truly is. He’s still not potty trained, but I know the day will come. For now we are just being patient. He is eating pretty well…still not a lot of variety to his diet, but when he eats, he eats a good amount. A recent food development is peaches though-he loves them! He is still majorly underweight (not even on the charts anymore) but is healthy. We have his doctor’s check-up soon so we will wait to see what the doc says. He can count to 15 with no help and to 20 with some help. He knows all of his colors, can say his ABC’s and recognizes some of the letters. We love our big boy!!

Mason is just learning and growing so fast-it almost seems like every day he learns something new. He can speak in complete sentences, is very good at expressing his wants and needs, and is still our incredibly loving and happy boy. He loves music and plays his new drum set all of the time. Getting him to eat is still a challenge-he is very picky, but is healthy. I can’t believe that next month he will already be 3!

Reid is also growing like crazy. He loves to sit up on his own and is so aware of his surroundings. He does not like to be left alone in the room, even if he was happy playing on the floor. He weighs 18 pounds and will more than likely pass up his big brother in the very near future. He is eating solids now…he loves butternut squash, sweet potatos and isn’t such a fan of green beans or carrots. We’re going to start on fruits soon. He waves to people and is a very happy, smiley boy. He just reached 7 months.
