It is hard to believe that Mason is now 3 years old. To celebrate yesterday we had a cake but the real party will come this weekend when we have lunch at Rainforest Cafe with all of Mason’s friends. He is very excited!

Mason is talking like crazy now in full sentences. He is still our very happy, super sweet boy. He loves his baby brother, and hates it when Reid cries. He tells Reid to “Be happy,” and then tries to make him laugh. Yesterday when Matt was home with the boys, Reid was crying while Matt was trying to get a bottle ready. Mason said to Reid, “Reid, be nice to Daddy. He loves you.” We are constantly amazed at the thing that comes out of his mouth-they show how loving and caring he truly is. He’s still not potty trained, but I know the day will come. For now we are just being patient. He is eating pretty well…still not a lot of variety to his diet, but when he eats, he eats a good amount. A recent food development is peaches though-he loves them! He is still majorly underweight (not even on the charts anymore) but is healthy. We have his doctor’s check-up soon so we will wait to see what the doc says. He can count to 15 with no help and to 20 with some help. He knows all of his colors, can say his ABC’s and recognizes some of the letters. We love our big boy!!

This morning on our foggy drive to daycare Mason told me that the clouds came down to the ground to eat, and after they were done they were going to go back into the sky and go nighty-night. Makes sense to me!

Conversation with Mason this weekend: Mason-”Mommy, when I turn 5, I’m going to be a man.” Me-”Oh, ok. Did you know that men wear big boy underwear and not diapers?” Mason-”No, I’m going to be a man and wear diapers, just like daddy.”

Matt and I both cracked up at this one.
