This website was originally dedicated to Mason, but with the addition of our new son Reid Matthew, it is now a brother blog. Enjoy the updates of our kids.
Mason, in the past month, has really mentally developed. He went from speaking one word, to repeating the one word over and over to speaking two words in a row, and now he’s speaking 2 to 3 words in a row. If you don’t understand what he’s saying in baby talk, he slows it down for you and says it again. Sometimes he’ll try a different route and sign along with the words to explain. His little developmental mile stones just floor me every time there is something new. My favorite is when he says, “GoooDaee” – translated “Go Daddy.” That’s what Diane taught him when I go up to bat for softball .
Just out of curiosity, I did the ol’ weigh myself then weigh the baby to see how heavy “little” Reid was after 1 month. To my surprise, he is now 11 lbs.

I think Mason was only 9 lbs. at this age. There is no problem understanding why he has gained the weight so quickly seeing as how he will easily eat 6-8 times in a couple of hours throughout most of the evening. We’ll see if he is just a bigger kid. My older brother Jason was always taller but lighter than me.
