The baby
September 26th, 2006 by MattHere is the clearest shot of our baby to date. We will be getting another ultrasound by mid October. Then, we’ll really get to see it. Notice the little face and hands. It almost looks like it’s sucking its thumb.

A note from Valley Medical Center:
Your Baby’s Development
- By the middle of the second trimester, the fetus is about 8 inches long and weighs half a pound.
- The fetus’s bones are hard and the joints flexible.
- Now the mother can feel the kicks and rolls of the fetus. Even hiccups can be felt on occasion.
- Eyelashes begin to appear.
